About Us

THE LONG VIEW RV HISTORY...When Fran and Shirley Roberts opened their RV business in 1959, they had no idea that over 50 years later they would be the largest and oldest family-operated RV business in the world. The Roberts' began in business over five decades ago at the Long View observation tower on the Mohawk Trail in Greenfield, Mass. This tower, with a three-state view from the top, supplied our company name and is still part of our logo today.
In 1984, the business was moved to a five acre site in Northampton, MA. In 1993, the acquisition of a prime location in Windsor Locks, CT brought with it the need for a new name that would better suit the company that now had two major facilities and Long View RV SuperStores was born. The site is just North of Hartford, CT and adjacent to Bradley International Airport. The CT RV location is headed up by son Frank Roberts who has over 30 years of experience in the business. The Windsor Locks location also has a 5 acre RV sales display lot, a gigantic RV parts and accessory store and a busy RV service department. In 2009, the MA property was sold and the inventory consolidated at the larger CT facility.
In 2000, a sales outlet was opened in Canaan, New York featuring Gulfstream travel trailers. In 2001, a location in Leesburg, Florida location was added, followed by Kissimmee, Florida. In 2004, Long View RV SuperStore's largest location opened on a prime 22 acre lot, just off I-4 exit 14, McIntosh Road on the outskirts of Tampa, in Dover, Florida.
Companies don't grow at such a rate without a sincere dedication to their customers and the Roberts' have never lost that as their main focus. They proudly remain a locally owned and operated family business, serving the needs of RV families from all across the country. Long View RV SuperStores....yeah, it fits.
